A magical little espresso bar. Their small team pushing through a morning rush in a tiny workspace efficiently dialed in my order of espresso before serving. The result of their attention to detail was some of the best, most complex espresso I've had in LA. The white breve was similarly a chart topper, though it's appeal faded slightly as the drink cooled and the foam melted. Overall, an incredible experience. Hats off to the baristas for their hard work and high standards.

Maru in Beverly Hills is such a gem! The barista was super friendly and welcoming, which instantly made the place feel inviting. I grabbed a latte and it was absolutely delicious. I really liked the minimalist vibe of the shop—clean, simple, and calm, which makes it a great little escape from the usual Beverly Hills buzz. It’s the perfect spot to swing by for a quality coffee and then head over to the park next door to relax. Definitely one of my new go-to spots in the area!

A small, hip cafe with a great vibe! I tried their signature cream top coffee, and really enjoyed it. I just wish the coffee itself was a bit stronger to balance the sweetness of the cream. There was a short lineup outside, but the weight wasn’t too long. I’d love to come back and try more of their coffee drinks!

I’m back at my personal favorite coffee shop in California known as Maru which is located in Beverly Hills. They have the best cream foam in the game, its thick, subtly sweet and paired perfectly with the cold brew balancing out that earthy coffee flavor.

Maru is a true experience for the espresso lover! Wonderful staff, amazing signature drinks. Great location. A place to see and be seen. A Beverly Hills crown jewel. You most likely find a line when you walk up , don’t worry it moves quickly & is because there is only a small space inside. There is the city park between Beverly and Canon And all of the Maybourne property to enjoy and stroll or sit. Compared to other coffee and espresso bars it is a 10 out of 10 Priced fairly, highest quality.

Maru Espresso Bar is a standout specialty coffee shop in Beverly Hills, offering a minimalist yet refined coffee experience. Coffee Highlights: Signature Drinks: The 'cream top' drinks are the must-try here. They feature Maru's exclusive half-and-half cream, creating a unique flavor experience. Ethiopian Espresso: Only served as a double shot. While decent, it leaned earthy over fruity and felt slightly under-extracted--solid but not extraordinary. Breve (Star of the Show): A double espresso shot over their signature cream served in an 8oz cup. It's intentionally cool, though I'd prefer it warmer. Cream sweetness can be adjusted, offering a blend of cappuccino richness and mocha-like indulgence. Unforgettable and unlike any other drink. Any coffee shop that serves you sparking water as a shot in crystal glassware and has a simple one-page menu, is legit. Atmosphere & Service: Decor is minimalist Japanese, with mellow Muzak-like chill ambient music. Being a tiny shoe-box sized, it's better for takeout than sitting in. However, it's a pleasant experience if you can find a seat - seating for around 4 people with side tables. Great for people watching the spillover tourists from rodeo drive mixing with locals in various garbs of ath-leisure meets haute couture. Service: There were 4 baristas working non-stop, one doubling up as the cashier. They seem to have mastered the efficiency of keeping the relentless line flowing. Drinks are attractively priced for the location. Practical Tips: Best for: Cream/milk-based drinks rather than straight espresso or drip coffee. Parking: Street parking only, with metered spots available nearby. Seating: Limited seating for four; lines are constant, as a zombie-like horde of de-caffeinated patrons jostle in the late November cold for a caffeine drip. While takeout was the norm for 99% of patrons, try the sit-down experience. Summary: Maru Espresso Bar combines excellent service, distinctive drinks, and sleek design in a tiny, charming space. Their milk-based espresso drinks--particularly the Breve--are the real highlights. Perfect for a quick coffee stop or an indulgent sit-down treat if you're lucky to grab a seat. TL;DR: A hidden gem for milk-based espresso drinks with a minimalist aesthetic and friendly, efficient service.

I almost never write reviews, but this is the best coffee I have ever had! I got the iced latte, and it was amazing! The baristas were friendly, and there was a line, but it moved quickly and the drinks were served fairly fast. Overall amazing quality, I will be back!

First time at Maru and really enjoyed it. The coffee was smooth and their signature cream topping added a nice, subtle richness. Not much seating inside, but it’s a great option to go — there’s a nice seating area just around the corner in the Beverly Hills square. Friendly staff and quick service.
